There was recently a report about someone who rubbed garlic into her feet… which could be smelled on her breath less than fifteen minutes later. Now people don’t normally rub garlic into their feet but this test was carried out to demonstrate how our skin absorbs what it comes into contact with. It is estimated that the skin will absorb up to 75% of a substance… presumably a substance that sits on the skin for some time.
